Yet the parallels between the two clubs may lead to some interesting games in the coming seasons. With young stars like Aaron Ekblad, Vincent Trocheck, and Nick Bjugstad, the Panthers will soon be a force to be reckoned with.
The Cats broke back into the playoffs last season and they show no signs of regression in the coming season, with the signing of former Coyote Keith Yandle to a long term contract.
The Coyotes are behind the Panthers in terms of playoff timelines and prospect development, yet they are gaining ground.
