No matter what the deficit it is starting to look like the Arizona Coyotes can overcome any issue. We talked a lot about how the Coyotes need to start strong in the past, but that seems to not matter anymore to this team.

No matter what the issue the Arizona Coyotes can overcome. Yesterday the Coyotes were in Buffalo for a game against the Buffalo Sabres. Buffalo is one of the hottest teams in the NHL with a record of 9-2-1 going into the game.

It was no surprise that Buffalo would start strong, and they managed to score the first two goals tonight, thanks to Jack Eichel and Jeff Skinner. Eichel caught the Coyotes sleeping right off the faceoff on a Sabres power play. Eichel’s goal might be something Kuemper would like back, unlike the second goal.

Buffalo is a team that prospers on the rush, they managed to catch the Coyotes out of position and capitalize with a strong goal to end thanks to a Jeff Skinner one time. After giving up two goals in the first period Kuemper would go on to be as solid as ever, like on this play.

The Arizona Coyotes are proof that all you need to do is keep shooting and eventually it will go in. The ‘Yotes took 44 shots tonight, and their two goals were both from interesting angles. The Coyotes are more than capable of scoring a “pretty” goal every once in a while, but it is also night to see them do what they did against Buffalo today.

Conor Garland was amazing on his goal, and the Coyotes twitter is right when they say he keeps finding a way to put the puck in the net. Another thing the ‘Yotes keep finding a way to do is score power-play goals, like how Carl Soderberg did tonight.

With a tie game in the third period, there is often a rush to get the win. That was not the case tonight. Darcy Kuemper and Carter Hutton played at the top of there game and managed to keep the game even going into OT.

Overtime at 3-3 is amazing. If you did not watch the game last night I recommend you go back and watch the OT period, if you want to see high-speed possession type hockey it is the place for you.

Honestly when you take so many teams and throw them into a 5-minute hockey game with only 3 players on the ice anything can happen. I love being able to watch the plays develop and watch these NHL players try to keep the puck for an extended period.

The game would go on to need a shoot out, and not for a lack of trying. Buffalo had two posts in the OT and Clayton Keller basically put the puck in the net, if it was not for I don’t know gravity, oh and Carter Hutton of course.

The Coyotes did find a way to get a win in the shootout. Kuemper managed to blank 3 separate Sabres in the shootout, and Nick Schmaltz put a puck between the pad and glove of Hutton to win the game for the Coyotes.

This was the first time the Coyotes have gone from a 2-0 deficit to win a game in a long time, and well this is a new team. I am excited to see what the Coyotes do this season if they keep playing at the level they have played now it will end in the postseason.
