The Arizona Coyotes really showed up to play last night against the Anaheim Ducks. That and more in today’s Morning Howl Report!
Sometimes all it takes is a really good period to win a hockey game. Not to say that the Arizona Coyotes did not play a great game all around last night, but rather their third period was just that much better. Players like Christian Dvorak, Brad Richardson, and Carl Soderberg all found the back of the net that period.
Antti Raanta was great again last night, putting up 26 saves in the Coyotes win. A win against Anaheim puts the team in second place within the Pacific Division, which is good when you look at where we want to be by the end of the year. Arizona needs to take advantage of things now before they move to the Central Division in a few seasons. (Howlin’ Hockey)
Tonight, the Arizona Coyotes really proved to me that they do have all the pieces to win a championship. I read that almost all of the forwards had a point last night, at first I thought that was crazy and then I looked it up. Every single forward in last night’s game registered a point. Isn’t that a pretty cool thing? Arizona is getting scoring from all four of their offensive lines and it could not come at a better time. (Howlin’ Hockey)
If you were wondering what was going on in the world juniors check out the recap of day 6 from Five for Howling. The took a look at some of the impacts on different Coyotes players and so much more! We even had our own little piece on some of the things that Barrett Hayton is learning at the tournament if you didn’t see that check it out! (Howlin’ Hockey)
The Coyotes do not play again until tomorrow, so enjoy the off day, and if you are watching games around the NHL check out the Capitals Hurricanes game. This is a rematch of last year’s Stanley Cup playoffs, and it is one of two games on so very little options.
