The Arizona Coyotes are not going to have the easiest week. Their next two games are going to prove rather challenging for the team.

The Arizona Coyotes are set to face off against the two best teams in the west over the course of the next two games. The Coyotes will faceoff against the Dallas Stars tonight in Dallas, and then have to fly to St. Louis for a game the next day.

Dallas and St. Louis are competing for the first overall spot in the west as the two are currently tied with 74 points. However, neither team has been that great the past few games. Dallas lost their last game against the Ottawa Senators, and St. Louis was on a five-game losing streak before last night’s matchup against the New Jersey Devils.

The Coyotes are going to be facing off against two teams that are desperately in need of a win in a close race to the top of the West. The thing is the Coyotes also need these wins just to make the playoffs. We already broke down how many wins the Coyotes are going to need to secure their playoff spot, so you could say these games are a must-win.

The Coyotes are going to have to play with a mentality that everything is on the line during their next two games. I am talking about playing physical and playing like every goal is going to win or lose them the game.

If there is any soft goals by our goalies or by a bad play by one of our players you can basically chalk these games up under the loss column. We can not make any bad mistakes because these two teams are just too good.

When it comes to the Stars, we are going to be playing them one more time after tonight’s game, so getting the win to set the tone for our next matchup is big. Four points are still up for grabs against the Dallas Stars. Those four points could make or break our playoff chances this season. The Coyotes snuck away with a big win the last time they played the blues, let’s see if we can replicate that tomorrow! Go Coyotes!
